Long joins Energy Association as Vice President

The Indiana Energy Association adds Matt Long as its new Vice President, succeeding Mindy Westrick Brown in the role. In February, Mindy rejoined Faegre Drinker as counsel in the government and regulatory practice group. She was previously with Faegre Baker Daniels from 2008-2019. Long brings a wealth of experience in external affairs, public policy, and community engagement to his new role.

Prior to joining the Energy Association, Long served as the director of external affairs for AT&T Indiana. In this capacity, he worked closely with community and business leaders, elected officials, and colleagues to advance technologies such as high-speed broadband, small cells, and the FirstNet public safety communications platform across Indiana. His role also involved focusing on AT&T's legislative and public policy priorities at the Statehouse.

Before his tenure at AT&T, Long was a vice president at Bose Public Affairs Group. There, he represented legislative clients on a broad range of regulatory issues at the Indiana General Assembly, state government agencies, and local governments across the state. He also has experience as a legislative assistant for the Indiana House of Representatives.

Matt Long is an alumnus of Indiana University, where he earned an undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice. He furthered his education by graduating from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis in 2011.
